OUR HERITAGE
The Story Behind Our Factory
During the early years of the Republic, tractors brought from Germany under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk could not be operated successfully. Although engineers carefully followed the provided instructions, the machines remained unresolved.
(The person driving the tractor is Mehmet Güney, the founder of our factory.)
Our great-grandfather, a skilled lathe master, believed that the answer could be found through close observation and craftsmanship. Driven by curiosity, he examined the tractors at night, studying their mechanism in detail. With the precision gained from years of hands-on experience, he discovered the problem and succeeded in repairing them.
His achievement earned the appreciation of Atatürk himself. As a gesture of recognition, he was rewarded with a generator — a gift that would later become the starting point of our family’s olive oil production journey.
